Mmmm....ICE CREAM!

Just something I came across and thought I'd pass along. Although it's not quite hot enough out for this, but hey, it supports a great cause!

Baskin Robbins is honoring America's Firefighters by selling ice cream for $.31 cents per scoop on Wednesday, April 30th between 5 and 10 pm. Grab your friends, and/or the kids and have a cool one! This fundraiser for the firefighters is an important one for them, so let's go out and have ice cream and support a great cause.

Lake County Discovery Museum!

Last week it was a friend's birthday and despite the stormy afternoon, we went to the Lakeside Inn in Wauconda and had a very nice lunch. The Lakeside Inn is a small restaurant - bar that was built in 1800's and was a stop over for Al Capone when he would pass through on his way back from Lake Geneva (according to the story on the menu). After a tasty lunch (they have really good food!), we went over to the Lake County Discovery Museum to view the LP Art show! We walked around and viewed sixty years of outstanding album cover artwork in the LP Art special exhibition.

It was like walking down memory lane. We saw albums we had in High School and some that were of course, before 'our time'. They also had exhibits of old advertisements as well as postcard art. If you find yourself in the area, stop in and check it out.
