EARTH HOUR!! Lights OUT Saturday 3/28/09 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Can you turn off your lights this Saturday for just one hour for the good of our planet?

Hey, I just signed up on the new Earth Hour website for 2009 and I thought you might like to take a look and possibly sign up, too.

Earth Hour is on March 28, 2009 at 8:30 pm, and it looks like it's going to be really big.

As of today: "1,760 cities, towns and municipalities in 80 countries have already committed to VOTE EARTH for Earth Hour 2009, as part of the worlds first global election between Earth and global warming."

Concerned and earth friendly citizens in cities all over the world are all participating by turning off their lights for an hour in the name of fighting global warming.

On Saturday, March 28, 2009, at 8:30 pm, Catherine of WWW.UNIQUEFREAQUE.COM will take part in Earth Hour—the world’s largest global climate change event. By simply turning out all non-essential lighting for one hour in my office and home, I will join tens of millions of concerned citizens throughout the world in calling for action to save our planet for future generations.

I'd like to encourage you, as my valued customers or associates, to join me in this important and inspiring effort.

Led by the World Wildlife Fund, more than 50 million people in 370 cities around the world took part in Earth Hour last year. The lights went out at Sydney’s Opera House, Rome’s Coliseum, the Empire State Building and the Golden Gate Bridge. Even the Google homepage went dark for the day.

This year, Earth Hour will be even bigger. In The United States, cities large and small have said they’ll participate including Chicago, …with more signing up daily. They will join international cities such as Beijing, Cape Town, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Helsinki, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, London, Manila, Mexico City, Moscow, New York, Paris, Rome, and Toronto.

To get a better sense of the magnitude and inspiring nature of the event, take a moment to watch WWF’s video about Earth Hour 2009 by visiting YOUTUBE !

Participating in Earth Hour is easy, fun and absolutely free. To get more information and to sign up to for Earth Hour 2009, just visit www.earthhour.org/USA and agree to turn out your lights from 8:30-9:30 pm on March 28, 2009.

Energy efficiency isn’t just good for the bottom line. As citizens of the world, we all have a stake in the future of our planet and must seek to operate in ways that don’t deplete our world’s limited natural resources.

In the time leading up to Earth Hour, we will be taking a closer look at ways we can operate more efficiently, waste less and reduce our environmental footprint. That’s because I care about the future of our world and want to do what I can to make a positive difference.

We want The United States of America to turn out more lights than any other country in the world during this historic event and so hope you’ll join us, and encourage people you know in the community to also take part. Don’t forget—March 28th at 8:30 pm, switch off.

Sign up for Earth Hour with me by visiting EARTH HOUR sign up and join the movement.

People all over the world have already signed up! Will you please join us?

Thank you in advance!

Thanks for promoting Earth Hour! Another way you can recruit people to the cause is by creating a Earth Hour group on Commit21.com. Simply create a group about one action that you will commit to do for Earth Hour and recruit your friends, family, and co-workers to get involved in that action as well. When it comes to climate change, simple actions can make huge differences and Commit21 leverages social media to influence networks of friends, family, and co-workers. Check it out at www.commit21.com
