Recycled Rings!

With everyone (hopefully) "GOING GREEN" we are excited to bring to you a new artist here at Unique Freaque. Meet Michelle!

Michelle creates these unique, one of a kind rings by re-using old pieces of jewelry.  Each setting is hand sewn utilizing different embroidery methods.  The stone is wrapped with several layers of thread and then further embellished with other fibers, beads, or wire.

Every ring is one-of-a-kind, so you will be the only person in the world wearing your ring!

Besides being fun and beautiful, these rings have been created with Mother Earth in mind.  Because each ring is reconstructed from found jewelry, you can feel good in knowing that your ring has been recycled. What’s more, if you feel like making a statement about “blood diamonds” or other harmful mining processes, these rings send just the right message.

Who needs diamonds and sapphires and emeralds and pearls when you can wear an original, anonymous, beautiful recycled ring! See her newest designs at UNIQUEFREAQUE.COM

Have a great week and get out there and enjoy some of the sunshine!

I followed the link about blood diamonds and learned so much. I just LOVE Unique Freaque and the blog too! I think it is really cool that Unique Freaque offers recycled jewelry and these rings look really interesting. Would love to see more pictures of the recycled and GREEN items you offer or maybe I need to just pop in the store....it has been a few weeks so I am sure you have a lot of new and interesting things to buy. I have a few birthdays coming up so will shop at Unique Freaque....as usual.
One of your loyal regulars....DK:)
